I Believe
The Scriptures
I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the ultimate authority for teaching, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Through Scripture, God reveals His will, His design for humanity, and His plan for salvation.
God
I believe there is only one true God, eternal and all-powerful, who has revealed Himself in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This divine mystery, known as the Trinity, shows us God’s unity and His relational nature.
Jesus Christ
I believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus was both fully human and fully divine. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, rose again on the third day, and ascended to the Father’s right hand. He is the Savior of the world and the only way to eternal life.
The Fall of Man
I believe that mankind was created good, but by choosing disobedience, humanity fell into sin. This rebellion against God brought both physical and spiritual death into the world. Because of this fall, all people are born with a sinful nature and are in need of redemption.
Salvation
I believe every person can be restored to fellowship with God through salvation in Jesus Christ. This comes by repentance and faith, trusting Christ as Savior and Lord. Salvation is a gift of grace, not earned by works, but received by faith.
Ordinances of the Church
I believe and practice two biblical ordinances:
Water Baptism by immersion, following repentance and the acceptance of Christ. Baptism is a public declaration of faith and symbolizes being buried with Christ and raised to new life.
Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper), taken in remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death on the cross. Communion is a symbolic act of gratitude for His sacrifice and a proclamation of His return.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
I believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience following salvation. This baptism empowers believers for bold witnessing and effective service, just as it did for the early church in the New Testament.
Initial Evidence
I believe that speaking in tongues is the initial physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, as seen on the Day of Pentecost and throughout the book of Acts.
Sanctification
I believe sanctification begins at salvation and continues throughout a believer’s life. It is both an act of God declaring us holy and a progressive process of becoming more like Christ as we separate from sin and draw closer to Him.
The Mission of the Church
I believe every believer has a mission to seek and save the lost. The Church is called to share the Gospel, disciple new believers, and demonstrate Christ’s love to the world. We are the Church.
The Church
I believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all believers who have accepted redemption through Jesus Christ. The true Church is not limited to denominations but united by faith in Christ’s sacrifice.
Divine Healing
I believe in divine healing, which is provided through Christ’s atonement on the cross. Healing is a privilege available to believers today, demonstrating God’s power and compassion.
The Blessed Hope
I believe in the Blessed Hope—the rapture of the Church. At this moment, believers who have died will rise from their graves, and those who are alive will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air, to live with Him forever.
The Millennial Reign of Christ
I believe in the Millennial Reign of Christ, when Jesus returns with His saints to rule the earth for 1,000 years. This reign will bring peace, justice, and the fulfillment of God’s promises to Israel.
Final Judgment
I believe there will be a Final Judgment for all who reject Christ. Those who have refused salvation will be judged for their sins and sentenced to eternal separation from God in the lake of fire.
New Heavens and New Earth
I believe in the promise of a New Heaven and New Earth where God will dwell with His people forever. Those who have accepted Christ will enjoy eternal fellowship with the Lord in His perfect kingdom.
Praise
Written songs that honor and reflect Gods love.
